AstraZeneca signs global software agreement with Desert Scientific Software for Protein Structure Visualisation Platform

AstraZeneca of Mölndal, Sweden, and Desert Scientific Software, Sydney, Australia, have signed a collaboration agreement on the further development of protein structure database technology. Under the agreement, DesertSci will establish a web-based protein structure database and visualisation environment which is closely integrated with AstraZeneca’s global Structure-Based Design Platform. The collaboration is to include the licensing of DesertSci’s existing software for protein structure database handling and visualistion, Proasis; customisation of those components; the design of a new graphical user interface; and the implementation of new functionality.
