Roche signs a Joint Venture Agreement with Desert Scientific Software for Proprietary Technology

F. Hoffmann La-Roche, one of the world’s leading pharmaceutical research companies, has signed a Joint Venture Agreement with Desert Scientific Software to collaborate on the development of a new generation scoring function based on DesertSci’s proprietary software, ‘Scorpion’. Staff from both companies will work together developing new methods and know-how in order to bring forward this exciting new technology to a prototype stage. The Agreement is initially for a period of 12 months with the option of 12 monthly extensions dependent on the success of the ongoing collaboration.

This new collaborative agreement extends the present working relationship between DesertSci and F. Hoffmann La- Roche. F. Hoffmann La-Roche currently licenses various software and maintenance/support services from Desert Scientific Software. Both parties are looking forward to this new venture and the myriad possibilities that may develop from the collaboration.
