Biogen Idec, Inc., one of the world’s first biotech companies, has purchased a licence for Desert Scientific Software’s, Proasis2® , an enterprise-wide protein structure database and visualisation system.
Desert Scientific Software (DesertSci), a chemo/bioinformatics software company based in Sydney, Australia is pleased to announce the licensing of their flagship database technology, Proasis2®, by one of the world’s major biotech companies, Biogen Idec, Inc., CA, USA. Proasis2®, the industry’s leading protein structure database and visualization system enables Biogen Idec research staff to make better use of protein structure data in their drug discovery programs.
Proasis2 is a web-based tool designed specifically for drug discovery research. The databse and visualisation system allows users to make complex, high quality decisions on Discovery projects by using more complete sets of in-house and public domain protein structural information and leveraging advanced scientific tools, behind an easy-to-use interface.
