Virtual Machine Released

02 Dec 2013

DesertSci is pleased to announce its Virtual Machine solution for Proasis3, our protein structure database and visualisation system.

The VM comes with a web server, a database engine, DesertSci software and all dependencies.  It also includes a comprehensive set of highly curated public domain data.

This VM provides the easiest possible entry for new Proasis3 installations, and is suitable for both evaluation and as a fully functioning production system.   The VM also includes a powerful molecular graphics viewer and 2D molecular sketcher, which means that end-users are able to use the system to search and explore protein-drug complexes without having to install other software onto their desktop machines.
